I’m Sam Parker, a New York City based actor, improviser, and educator. I pursued my passion for performance and graduated from Otterbein University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Since then, I’ve been featured as a principal role in a Cannes Film Festival premier, lit up 100 million viewers’ screens in a 2020 Super Bowl commercial, sang, danced, and acted as the lead in a 48 episode Korean television series, and filmed, voiced, and posed in many other spots for major brands including: Instagram, Samsung, and Citizen Watch.
As an improviser, I perform with a team that sprang out of UCB, The Spitballerz, a squad of misfits hoping to make the rest of the world feel as awkward as we already are. I also joined The Magnet Theater’s Conservatory, a group of comedians who complete the theater’s training program, in 2018.
I am proud to be a performance educator throughout NYC. I lead musical theatre workshops for the Shubert Foundation’s partnership with the New York City Department of Education to create new musical theatre programs at public middle schools throughout the city. I have also taught workshops at the Junior Theater Festival, the world’s largest conference celebrating the magic of musical theatre for young people.
I'm so grateful to be fulfilling my dream of being a professional actor. I hope to share this joy and passion with as many people as possible for as long as I can. Let’s connect and collaborate on some material together; I’m always on time and ready to work. Thanks for stopping by!
I recently filmed a 48 episode television shoot in South Korea! More details to come this spring.
